GALACTIQUEST is a series of five science fiction text adventure games for the Commodore 64 that I (Geoff Draper) wrote as a teenager in the early 1990s. In 2025, when I noticed that the coveted galactiquest.com domain name was finally available, I decided to rescue these games from decades of offline obscurity and give them a home on the Web.
However, I have no delusions of grandeur here; these games are terrible. Shallow plots, illogical puzzles, and random death await those with enough patience to try them. Nevertheless, they were a labor of love for a young boy who was passionate about programming and wanted desperately to tell stories through the then-new medium of personal computing.
For the best experience, I recommend that you download the games and play them offline via a Commodore 64 emulator. However, you can also play them in a web browser. (Many thanks to our friends at C64online for making these games available in online format.)
