I Love It When You Talk Trigonometric

This is another one of my math jokes that was understood by enough people to be published in the school newspaper. Since its publication in the HHS Eagle, this comic also appeared on the front of the BYU Physics 122 class T-shirt, Winter semester 1999. The shirt is unfortunately out of print at the moment.

From an artistic standpoint, this cartoon represents one of my personal victories. To obtain the utmost realism, my brother modeled as the guy leaning on the tree while I sketched. Notice also the folds in the girl's skirt: it bends and ripples around the contours of her legs, just like real fabric would. I haven't yet been able to re-duplicate that effect quite as well as I did in this drawing.
