This one reeks with high-school neurosis. Notice how the teacher, who is sitting, still towers over the standing student. I think the same perception still exists for college students at the undergraduate level. Thankfully, since coming to grad school, I've come to think of my professors as peers. Peers who dictate what I work on. Peers who determine whether I get a paycheck or not. Peers who control my ultimate destiny at the minutest level.
