Luckily, it was not. Although I was a little awkward holding a baby for the first day or two, I got used to it pretty fast. I'm now one of those dads that swings his kid around by her ankles, and delights to listen to her giggles.

I don't recall what inspired me to draw this comic, but it's one of my wife's favorites. During her pregnancy with our first child, Maria would occasionally joke that this would be my reaction to seeing our daughter for the first time.
