This is the true story of how Wilford Woodruff (fourth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) avoided loss of life and property by following the promptings of the Spirit.

Much of this story is quoted from the account written by President Woodruff and printed in "Leaves from my Journal," Millennial Star, 12 December 1881, pp. 790-91.
